Cemre Beyza Yağız - Nereye Kayboldu Kedi? (Where Did the Cat Go?)

Teaser

As adults grow tense over tea, two kids search for a cat inside the house.

Animated short exploring how children’s play can coexist with adults’ concerns about the country’s (economic) climate. The narrative unfolds in real time during a Turkish tea ritual at a family gathering, inspired by my memories of growing up in Turkey, where my childhood play often overlapped with the background murmur of adults’ anxieties about politics, economics, and everyday life.
